I didn't say so, but I did. I also made sure my display settings  were what
they should be.

Hmm this is very strange, as I have jaws v9.0.515 running here with word
2003 and it works great, better, in fact, than jaws 8. I can't remember if
in your original post you said if you had reinstalled microsoft office, if
not then I would try that.
