This is the answer to the first question. I'm not sure what you're asking in the second. To make winamp your default player: 1. Open winamp 2. Press ctrl+p for preferences 3. The different categories are in treeview mode so what you need is under general options and is called fileTypes. You can use also first letter navigation. So if you presss the letter "f", you can locate fileTypes section faster. 4. When you're on fileTypes, press tab till you reach the all button and press space on it. 5. Shift+tab back to the close button and press space again. >From now on the winamp will be your default player.
You can use this dialogue to asotiate only the file types you want. You can also asotiate only audio or only video files. Of cource you can remove the asotiations you've made.
