Hi, One thing you may want to do if you are finding it difficult to navigate the Outlook calendar is to switch to the active appointments view. The active appointments view will show all of your upcoming appointments in a list view that is very easy to navigate with Jaws.
To change to the active appointments view: 1. Go to the calendar folder. 2. Go to the view menu by pressing Alt V. 3. Select the current view menu option. 4. Press the down arrow key until you reach the active appointments view option. Press the enter key to select this menu option. Your calendar appointments will now be displayed in a list view that you can easily navigate. I hope this helps, Ryan -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of sue morgan Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2008 5:33 PM To: Jaws; [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] Outlook. Hi. I use outlook express currently at home, but I work for Barclays bank in one of their call centres where they use outlook. I'm trying to get to grips with it and I'm wondering if anyone knows of an audio tutorial that I can download. The part of outlook I'll be using mainly is the calendar. When I open up the calendar I use the left and right arrows to move between the days of the week. The day view is checked but Jaws doesn't announce which day I'm on. I press insert control plus D and Jaws announces the current date and then I tab to see if there are any appointments in the calendar for that day. That's as far as I've got I'm afraid. I've got Jaws 5 at work because Barclays is still on Windows NT believe it or not. I'd be grateful if anyone could give me some more pointers around navigating outlook. My Skype and Messenger details are on my signature at the bottom of this e-mail if anyone would like to contact me. Thanks.
