Larry, it seems fairly simple to me why this all is relevant. The most often-suggested O.C.R. packages are incidentally the most expensive.
For many of us, the math doesn't work out at all. I have a decent income through being self-employed, but after utilities, food, mortgage, medical and other continuing expenses, there isn't enough money to a.) maintain JFW, b.) purchase expensive O.C.R. software and c.) get a PC that is powerful enough to handle the newest, fully-bloated versions of JAEWS, Windows etc. etc. Perhaps my somewhat whining diatribe should have been worded thus: I do not have money for expensive O.C.R. software. Is there freeware or inexpensive shareware that will again let me rad my books and correspondence?
