Brian,

I haven't used your method, but I plan to. Two points. First, Judy is using
Outlook 2003, so I assumed she'd using Word 2003. Either way, she now has all
the ways JAWS have at our disposal to overcome that annoying paragraph mark
problem.

Second, I take your point that the old and new methods for toggling on and off
what amounts to the partial WordPerfect reveal codes affects the visual
display, but it also has the effect of stopping JAWS from verbalizing paragraph
marks. At any rate, that's my recollection. Although I am a daily Word 2010
user, I haven't needed to use any of these controls for a long time.

Thank you for this quick settings suggestion and for several other very useful
posts I've saved.

Hello Adrian,

That keystroke is not for whether or not JAWS speaks the paragraph marks.
The CTRL Shift 8 command was Word's way to show or hide paragraph marks for
anyone whether or not using JAWS. In Word 2013 the keystroke doesn't work.
Instead, Alt followed by H followed by 8 is the way marks are shown or hidden
in Word 2013. Whether or not JAWS indicates the marks is controlled by the New
Lines and paragraph indication setting.

Take care.

Judy, to turn on and off jaws reading you paragraph and space markers, etc, the
toggle key on and off is shift plus control plus 8 key on the numbers row.

Hi, all, since I now could open and read all these attachments I've gotten
there is another issue. A couple of these attachments must be word documents
but in trying to read them, it keeps say "paragraph markers" all through this
thing. Is there any way of getting rid of those? Thanks in advance.
Judy & Libby
