Hi Tom,

You are correct. I just tried it with FF 52 and Jaws 16 and I could only access settings in the General section. I know that this was not the case with earlier versions of FF. I then shutdown Jaws and fired up NVDA--I was able to get to all settings, including the hardware acceleration setting. So, you might want to give NVDA a try, in order to get that setting changed.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Firefox Question

Hello, everyone.

I have just updated to Firefox 52, and am trying to get to the hardware
acceleration button to turn it off, since I understand this allows the Jaws
cursor to work better.

However, I can't ghet to the hardware acceleration function using the
instructions I have. Here are those insttructions:

"You can get to the hardware acceleration function with the options
screen, under the tools item in the menu bar. Find advanced settings/general
and it will be there. Again, you want to turn hardware acceleration off."

I can get to the options screen, but can't navigate to advanced
settings/general as I had been able to do earlier.

I'm using Windows 7 and Jaws 18 here.
