Not 100% sure this will work, but it's worth a try;

1, control panel,

2, s=sounds press enter,

3, ctrl+tab to the communications,
Note, you may hear;
80% checked, or another number,
Down arrow until you hear;
Do nothing.
Now tab enter on ok.

Alt+f4.

I am having a problem with the Jaws voices erratically changing in volume. I
am using A Dell XPS 8700 PC and Jaws 18 and eloquence This occurs if I am
typing or reading a document. I went back to Jaws 16 but the result is the
