Hello Lenny:

CSS or Cascading Style Sheets are a series of commands that tell the HTML
elements how to behave, something we used to do before with attributes to
each.

CSS can be contained in an external file, included in the head of the
document or included in each element, in this regard, the more specific the
declaration, the higher the authority.

You could therefore, declare a set of CSS rules that you obtain of the first
of your 20 documents in a regular text file that yu may call, for instance,
style.css and then include in the head of the document as follows:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/css/style.css">

That would apply the CSS to that HTML page, absent any other, more specific,
CSS declaration in the page. Notice that I used a relative path to the
style.css file, you could also use a full path, or even a URL to an external
file.

You could prepare identical HTML pages with different CSS files, to modify
things such as colors, fonts, etc. This system has the advantage that by
modifying the style.css file you will automatically modify your entire
webpage.

You can use a simple text editor, totally accessible by Jaws, to write both
the HTML and CSS files.

HTH,

Humberto

Subject: [JAWS-Users] convert html to css

Is there a utility that will convert my html web page to css? I think that I

have over 20 pages or files that would have to be manually rewritten. I
stumble through html it would take me a very long time to try and rewrite in

css. It would be nice if such an animal exists that it also would be jaws
friendly. I would like to add the option for people to change both color and

font sizes for readability.
