Well, I made the switch from Verizon webmail to AOL Mail last Monday, and
encountered no problems. The transition went smoothly, and I did not need
to change any POP3 settings to get WLM 2012 to work with AOL Mail. Have you
or your cousin contacted AOL customer support? You can call them toll-free
at800-827-6364.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem with Verizon after the recent change over
I personally am not on Verizon, how ever my cousin is and since the change
over last week he can no longer access his email. It works here if I setup
his email account but not for him as he lives across the state from me near
Philadelphia.
He is getting an error 0x800ccc0f which defies an answer and believe me I
have looked.
Verizon stated that ultimately all the end user needed to do would be to
change their password and I did that for him along with the other stuff on
the server side of things. So just after that I checked his email here,
entered his new password when the prompt popped up and all is well here. On
his end though things are not working so well unfortunately. I figure there
are a lot of you out there using the same email service so somebody ran in
to this issue and came up with the answer. If that is so please share it
with the list. This is a rather perplexing problem as so often happens with
computers, you can do it right and it still won’t work.
He and I both are using live mail 2012 and system resources are not an issue
at all.
