Since version 12, JAWS has a feature called Text Analyzer, which Ammon the 
inconsistencies in text it detects, it is able to alert about extra spaces, 
missing question marks and other punctuation symbols.
You can manually use layered keystrokes to jump through inconsistencies and get 
more information about the current one, or configure JAWS to alert 
automatically with speech or sound of found inconsistencies when reading either 
by line or Say All.

Is there any jaws friendly software that will check punctuation etc.? 
Microsoft word only tells me that I need a ; at times. About 25-30 years ago I 
had some software that was quite intuitive. I do not remember the name but it 
was dos based
