Hi Eric, Could you expand upon your statement below? I don't understand why modifying the default script would be the preferred method over using the my extensions file method or creating a stand-alone script and keyboard assignment to say both the date and time. What am I overlooking?

The time and date script uses a function called IfIsSameKey in order to read the date, and this becomes an issue for anyone who has to use Sticky keys which is what generated the question. The script change that was proposed on the list, was exactly the correct solution to follow.
