I always download jaws updates from the direct links Mike posts. the
installation starts sluggishly, on my desktop that I upgraded to windows 10
from windows 7. I get no error message just the delayed iinstallation. not
sure if it's because I upgraded the computer but I also have a Dell laptop I
bought with windows 10 on it I get no delays of installation. B

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] This app can't run on your pc?
I always have this problem on a computer where I use Windows 10 Pro Insider
Preview 32-bit builds when I try to download through the JAWS Check for
Updates dialog. I always have to download the installer directly from
Freedom Scientific's website.M
Moreover, sometimes the setup package does not run when I press ENTER on it
on the Firefox download library, so I have to manually go to the folder in
which I downloaded the installer and choose Run as Administrator from the
context menu.
You say that you're getting this error even by downloading the package
directly. Despite the summary of the fact that the app can't run on your PC,
please send us the full explanation given by Windows, readable by pressing
JAWS+B. When I try to install via Check for Updates, for example, I receive
an error like “contact with the software publisher to see if there is a
version for your computer,” identical to the one I get when trying to run a
64-bit executable on a 32-bit system or 16-bit exes on 64-bit systems.
