Thanks, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the disk, all seems to be
well. I am going to Microsoft accessibility this afternoon to try and solve

Considering this is a new problem and that nothing seems to explain it
except possibly a recent OS update, I'd do a repair on Office 2007. It's a

No I don't have that turned on. Windows live mail has it's own spell
checker. I don't have Outlook. Tom

Is your spell checker set to automatically check spelling before sending
emails? If you have this turned on in Outlook 2007 as this is an issue in
Outlook 2010.
When you have this turn on and make a spelling error in Outlook 2010 it
crashes Outlook 2010 which I assume might be what is happening in Outlook
2007.

I am having a problem with the spell checker crashing in MS word 7, using
windows 7 and Jaws 18. I have never had this problem until recently. As
nothing has changed on my computer except Jaws 18 updates and Windows
updates I think one of these must be the culprit. The spell checker in
