Hey. Jimm's guides are very helpful. I find Windows 10 to be a little like a smart, lovely but sometimes uncooperative spouse ... if you'll excuse the analogy. Behaviour does not always seem consistent, but there are a lot of neat things about it if you want to dig aroud. Since I got this machine in May, Microsoft has ordered many updates for my Windows 10, and I'm finally on the Creators' build. Most of these go off without a hitch, but a few things have been broken or changed from ttime to time during the update processes. Hopefully this won't be a pain for you, butt keep your internet connection handy in case you need to look up solutions. Most recently they changed the way the Windows mobile 2003 service works, so that I could no longer connect my old Braille Note to the pC without making some changes in the computer management console. Depending on what sort of perippherals, drives, software you use, this kind of thing is apparently common. Usually there's a fix, so don't despair.

I've just purchased a new laptop which will be running Windows 10. It's a Leda brand (not sure of the selling, but they're a South Australian company). I will be running the latest JAWS on it and am wondering if there are any introductory tips you guys can give me, since I've currently running Windows 7 on my old laptop. I have been saving Jim's tutorials, but have not really looked at them yet. I really simply need just simple introductory tips - like dotted points, so I know where to start, since I have not been able to access training here yet. The waiting list seems quite long. Thanks. Kind regards Michele PS the man who sold me the laptop will be installing Office 365 on it.
