Hello Laura:

Often the email that appears in the From: field is not the one it comes
from, spammers are very crafty in avoiding blockage. If you want to read
the email headers, do the following:

Press Alt
Press LeftArrow
Press DownArrow
Press Enter
DownArrow to Properties
Press Enter
Tab seven times
Press Control-Home
Press DownArrow and read all the headers.

Each email has all these headers, but they are simply not shown.

Blocking is not easy, but you may try the following:

While on the unopened message:

Press the Applications Key
Press the letter S
DownArrow twice to Create Rule
Press Enter

There you may try sending the email to Deleted Items based on the sending
email address, or on the subject line. You may shorten the subject line to
try and encompass any variations, but beware of false positives.

Regards,

Humberto

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Blocking an email/Outlook 2016 & Jaws 18

Hello,

I keep receiving a bogus email that I would like to block and have tried to
do so unsuccessfully. The email I want to block is concerning to me because
of where Jaws says it's coming from, the fact that they continue to arrive
in my inbox, and the fact that I cannot block this sender.

I highlighted the email I wanted to block, pressed the applications key, and
went to junk. When I pressed enter on "block this sender" Jaws asked me if
I wanted to do this but it was a different email than what I had highlighted
and the email Jaws was asking me to block was not even in the list to be
highlighted. The only choice it gave me was to click "okay"; there was not
a choice to cancel. Since I did not want to block the email Jaws was
suggesting I tried to get out of this; I tried pressing escape, control + y,
and alt + f4 without success. I had to go to task manager to shut down
Outlook for this to go away and allow me to access my email accounts. The
email I want to block is still there.

How do I block this sender? .. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Laura
