Russ,
Thanks so much for this info. I think I will stick with Quicken 2003 since
I use Quicken as a check register.

Fred
I think you're kind of stuck. Quicken changed its file format from .QIF to
.QFX around 2004 or 2005. Below is a link to Quicken that explains the
conversion but it doesn't work with Windows 10.

https://www.quicken.com/support/how-and-when-use-intermediate-version-conver
t-older-versions-quicken

You can do a Google search on 'QIF to QFX Converters' and you will find
several companies that offer converters in about the $40 range. Or, if you
can find a Windows 7 or8 computer, make the conversion per Quicken, and then
transfer the QFX file to your current computer. Or, you could download your
checking account from as far back as your bank allows and use Quicken 2015
on a going forward basis. Choose your medicine.

Sorry I couldn't be more up-beat.

Take care,
Russ

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Upgrading from Quicken 2003 to Quicken 2015

I am using a Windows 10 computer with Jaws 17 and 18 installed on it. I
just installed Quicken 2015 on my computer which was running Quicken 2003.
To my surprise and dismay I discovered that my Quicken 2003 data file with
all my checking account info is not compatible with Quicken 2015. Quicken
2015 says that in order to use my Quicken 2003 data file I must download a
free version of Quicken 2004. Then I either must download Quicken 2013 and
import my 2003 data file or in another help window it says I can immediately
use my 2004 data file in my Quicken 2015 program. Which is it?

Has anyone had experience in upgrading from Quicken 2003 or earlier to
Quicken 2015? if so what worked for you? Also it seems like installing
Quicken 2015 has made my Quicken 2003 inoperable. What a mess!

Any help/advice would be appreciated. I'm thinking about uninstalling
Quicken 2015 and reinstalling my 2003 version. That version works well with
Jaws 17 but not with Jaws 18.
