Hi Cher,
Not sure where you got that site, but I don't see Equifax anywhere in the
address, which should tell you something.
The website being referred to in my post is the one below. It's a special
web tool available directly from Equifax so users can check if their
information was accessed as part of the breach.
The site address is:
https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com/enroll/
If you're unable to use the work around I outlined in my post, you can give
the company a call at the following number:
866-447-7559
It's a toll free call, so you won't incur any charges.
I've actually never used that number, so I really can't say what information
you'll need, but try it and see what happens if you get no joy from the
website above.

I'm using https://trustedidpremier.com/eligibility/eligibility.html and have
no controls in the frame for the captcha in IE, FF or Chrome. Is a different
web site being used in this post? Thanks.
Cher

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Equifax CAPTCHA Work Around
Hi Folks,
I’ve figured a work around for the Equifax Hack Check web page located at:
Equifax’s TrustedID website
The problem:
reports have stated that when entering on the “play button” to start the
audio CAPTCHA recording, there is no area or edit field to place the numbers
you hear, simply a “verify” button, and a “help” button. The only edit
fields on the page are for your last name, and the last six digits of your
social security/social insurance numbers.
Solution:
Once you enter on the play button to run the audio file, turn off your
virtual viewer with insert+Z and begin typing the numbers you hear.
Once you’ve typed out the numbers you hear, turn your virtual viewer back on
with insert+Z and arrow down to the “verify” button, as the tab key will
skip over that button, though I’m not sure why at this point.
I would suggest turning off key echo, as Jaws speaking will or might
interfere in hearing the numbers properly, and you do have to solve the
CAPTCHA multiple times for verification, and each time, you do have to
repeat the above, but eventually, it does tell you that you are verified and
the checkbox that identifies you as not a robot gets checked.
Whether you choose to listen to the file multiple times, or download the
file as an MP3, you still have to turn off your virtual cursor with insert+Z
to enter the numbers.
I was asked to solve a CAPTCHA three or four times, supposedly because it
wanted to make sure I wasn’t a robot, LOL, but thank goodness, you only have
to remember five numbers each time, otherwise this would be very difficult.
Hope this helps.
