Hi Joanne,

Try the following:
Insert / Jaws key + 2, on the number row above the main keyboard for
temporary. For permanent change for a specific application
1. Open the application.
2. Press, Insert / Jaws key + 6, on the number row to open the Settings
Center.
3. Arrow down to, Users, right arrow to open.
4. Arrow down to, Typing Echo, press the spacebar to toggle through the
options until Jaws reports, Characters & Words.
5. Tab to the Okay button & press enter to save your change & close Settings
Center.

Note: If you want to change this for all applications, after you press,
Insert / Jaws key + 6, press,, control, shift, + D, to open Settings Center
default all applications, & follow the steps.
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] what is the easiest way to turn key echo off in jaws
14

I could do this in earlier versions using the insert j menus, but we don't
see, in jaws 14, a place in these menus where we can permanently change from
all characters to none. Thanks for any assistance.
