Hi Adrian, I'm not able to give the document a name, as soon as I give any save command keystroke the window disappears! I've never had to repair Office / Word, but I would imagine I can do it through the uninstall option in Programs & features, correct? If not, please send steps! I was planning on calling Microsoft Accessibility in the morning, but because the license I have is one of those licenses purchased in mass MS Accessibility can't do anything with it as far as helping, from what I've been told in the past. Take care. Mike. Dodgers, try again next year! Sent from my iBarstool. Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement. In the end you have to ignore everything, & click I agree. ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, November 07, 2017 9:04 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Word 2010 Save Document Keystroke Not Working
Mike, a two-part semi-answer: First, if you already named a missing document, you should be able to retrieve it by typing that name into the Windows 7 search field. Even if you can only recall a few words in the document, it will probably show up in that search field, depending on how you set up results. On the failure of F12 and its equivalent to work, it's so mysterious that I believe a Microsoft Office 2010 repair is in order. You probably know how to do this, but let me know if I can give instructions. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mike B. When I create a word .docx, & press either, Control + S, Alt + F, then A, or F12 to save the document I do not get a save dialogue to name the file as whatever I want to name it. The document just flat out disappears, & I can't find it anywhere! I know where it's suppose to save to if it gets closed without being saved, but like I said, I can't find where it's supposed to go or anywhere else! I'm all out of ideas, would y'all please come to my rescue, & tell me what the hell is happening?! LOL All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. w Take care. Mike.
