If I'm not mistaken, unless you're running Windows 10 Enterprise or Professional, Downloads are automatically Downloaded and Installed. The only button you should be able to see is the restart now button if you want to finish the downloads instead of waiting for the computer to do it for you.

With Windows 10 Enterprise and Professional, you have the option to defer updates, but that only means you're allowed some time before you have to download and install it, and even than, this feature only applies to major service packs of Windows 10, such as the Creator's Update etcetera.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] windows 10 and jaws question

Hello Listers,

Just recently. I have upgrated two of my neighbors computers from windows 7 64 bit to windows 10 home. The problem I am having is as follows. After enableing group policy editer and setting windows updates to notify to download and install, I am unable to see the download updates button. I have even tried using touch cursor to no avail. The funny thing, is I can see the list of available updates but no download button. Running jaws 2018.

Thanks

Michael

JFK"

"What kind of peace do I mean and what kind of a peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, and the kind that enables men and nations to grow, and to hope, and build a better life for their children-not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women, not merely peace in our time but peace in all time."
