i don't know where the setting is. but you have to set adobe to load the entire
document into memory. the default is to load one page at a time. if it is set
this way jaws will only find text that is showing on the screen.;

What works is adding the JAWS key to the control-f command, all three at once.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] How to use jaws find in acrobat reader in a PDF document
I have read the jaws help regarding using jaws with acrobat acrobat reader.
There was no mention made of using the find command, but since it works in HTML
documents on the Internet, I assumed it would also work in PDF files. So if I
do a control F, then type in a word or phrase I know is in a PDF document, I
expect to be moved there. That is not happening. What am I doing wrong and how
can I fix it?
