I just started using Reaper, I'm amazed at the difference between Goldwave & Reaper. I'd still recommend Goldwave, but Reaper for the cost. VERY Versatile! I'd also recommend donating to all the accessories that make Reaper Blind Accessible.. SWSS extension & Osara. Andrew

Thanks. The price actually seems lower than I thought. I'll take it for a spin! Cheers. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: December 1, 2017 5:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Who uses Reaper? I've been using Reaper for several years now and love it. The following is a link to a Reaper wiki that tells you everything you need to know to download, set up, and start using Reaper. https://reaperaccessibility.com/index.php/Main_Page As far as the cost, Reaper is a free-to-try download with no restrictions. When I purchased Reaper it was about $65. I don't know how that compares to Gold wave but it's a tremendous bargain for what you get. Hey Folks. Anyone here using the Reaper Digital Audio Editing software? I've heard good things about it, and I know it's supposed to be quite accessible, a definite bonus in a DAW. I have Goldwave and manage quite alright with it. I also have some experience with Audacity. I know about Sound Forge and used it a bit in the early 2000s, but not since then. Anyway, just wondering if people who use Reaper might be able to elucidate some of its features, and what makes it stand apart from other DAW software? I'm particularly interested in hearing from those with experience with multiple editors. Obviously I could try this out for myself, but the programme is quite a bit pricier than Goldwave, so I'm just interested in getting some feedback, particularly from screen-reader users, before I consider shelling out cash for it. Cheers.
