Cheers Andrew. Sounds awesome. I'm slightly familiar with VST plug-ins. Audacity has been able to use them for a long time, and Goldwave just recently introduced compatibility. And of course, they can also be virtual instruments, though I think that's out of the purview of a sound editor per se.

I have Goldwave and manage quite alright with it. I also have some experience with Audacity. I know about Sound Forge and used it a bit in the early 2000s, but not since then. Anyway, just wondering if people who use Reaper might be able to elucidate some of its features, and what makes it stand apart from other DAW software? I'm particularly interested in hearing from those with experience with multiple editors. Obviously I could try this out for myself, but the programme is quite a bit pricier than Goldwave, so I'm just interested in getting some feedback, particularly from screen-reader users, before I consider shelling out cash for it.
