Yes. I know this is a subjective issue, but one reason I have always preferred PCs over Macs is that you always have a choice. And there's no reason why you should use only one browser. I have all four on this computer, and although I haven't bothered with Edge at all, I might someday. My girlfriend uses Chrome most of the time. I use Firefox. If I get absolutely stuck I might pull out iE for a spin, although it hardly works right on some sites nowadays.
Re: the "Firefox quantum disaster" -- it actually works pretty damn well with nVDA. Not sure why JAWS is having so many issues with it. That said, it's not perfect with nVDA either, and I still like JAWS enough to be bothered about not being able to use it with Firefox 57, so like most other screen-reader users (I suspect), I'm on the ESR now. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Roger Newell Sent: December 2, 2017 10:48 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Best browser to use with Jaws That is true of all screen readers and is a result of emerging web standards being applied in many different ways.
