Ah. 
It's starting to sound as though you might have a corrupted disk partition.

When did this start happening?
As an experiment, to see if something else is causing it, can you go back to
a system restore point from before the error started happening?

If you can still read data from the drive, it means you can still can copy
it. So I'd back up everything important from that drive. 

You might need more help than people on this list can provide. The good news
would seem to be that the data is still actually there and accessible by the
drive, so it's not a total hard disk failure that'd cost you hundreds of
dollars to salvage.

you need to type
cmd
in the run box and hit inter
the coming command line box interface has a problim with jaws2018 if you on
windows10, its going to say "text area" nothing else but it still works , if
you have NVDA it works fine with it. if not still do as above with my
instructions, press insert plus B, to hear the feed back, its going to be
really chatty.
If you find it hard to do, try to find someone to help you that know how to
do it via tandem. just give him the command I've posted.
