Mike, No success on that one in Chrome today. I will try another day and my guess everything will be "normal" again. This is a Citrix site and I find them to be verhy good on the internet. I think it is Chrome.

Chrome is my default browser and has been working on this site ever since I made it my default. FROWN So, I pull up my old IE-11 and it works just as advertised. Aaarg! Computers. I don't have an answer to your specific question, but I do have some thoughts. First, once you've opened the page, try F5 to reload it and JAWS key+escape to refresh. These two steps should ensure the page is stable. You might also maximize the page with alt-spacebar followed by x. You mention tabbing to get to the edit field. Tabbing will put you in the edit field only if you're already in another edit field. Finally, have you tried accessing the edit fields with another browser? I was having a similar problem, only the reverse of yours. On a certain website, I couldn't get into an edit field with IE11, but I could get there with Chrome. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of George Martinez Sr Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 10:31 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Forcing a form field to open Hello all, I am using windows 10, 1709, JAWS 18 and Chrome. I have gone to a web site I go to regularly and it normally lands on a Username field then I go onto Password. Today it is not in the Username and when I get there it will not accept input. I have tried Enter, Tabbing to the next field & Shift tabbing back, also tried Alt + TAB and no joy on anything. I also tried Ctrl + INS + HOME with no success. I seem to remember that there is a JAWS command to force the field to activate and accept input? Is there such a command? Thanks, George A.
