My solution (which retains security during the login process) was to activate Windows Hello and set up fingerprint recognition.
Unfortunately, I had to use Touch cursor to monitor the instructions that were displayed during the fingerprint enrollment procedure. I think there's room for a JAWS script (or other modification) to simplify this process. I have not tried face recognition, as my laptop doesn't appear to support it.
