Hi, in Internet Explorer, open the view menu with alt v, press t to open the
toolbars submenu, and you should see it there. If it's checked, it's visible
and you'll need to press enter to uncheck (hide) the toolbar, and vice
versa. Hope that helps.

Nope, can't find a google tool bar.  I've looked on the desktop, programs,
start menu, my computer, and control panel under Internet options thinking
there might be a way to turn off any toolbars.  Where else could it be
lurking?  I know I found it on the desktop a few years ago and got rid of
it.
