I use the SD card in my Victor Reader and I am not sure if you can read it
directly from the computer. You could contact NFB Newsline directly to get a
better idea of your options.

So I was able to get the email stuff set up. I’m seeing that for each
periodical, I'm getting four attachments per email with xml and other Daisy
extensions. I've tried opening them directly from the email, but it's not
working. Is this something where I have to download the files first only to
then be able to open in an application?

Yes, and you can do it in one of two ways: either the first issue of the
paper, or have it email you all updates (i.e. some papers continue posting
articles to various sections throughout the day).
