Hi Chris,
You definitely should be able to move a book from the internal memory to the
SD card.
Be sure you are in the book shelf.
Focus on the book you want to move to the SD card.
Hit your 3 key twice, quickly.
You should hear something like, move the selected book.
Then, press your confirm key and follow the next prompts.
If it does not work for you, it might be a good idea to contact Humanware
for help.
I have a tendency to gather lots of books and often use the method above to
transfer files to the SD card.

I do not believe you can transfer a book from the card to the internal
memory.
You can move a book from the internal memory to the SD Card.
If you hit the 3 key quickly twice in a row, it will offer the option to
move the book to the card.
Confirm with the pound key as prompted.
That has always worked for me.
