Hi Sandy, Jaws doesn't know what you want to hear or not hear, you have to tell it, that is what the different verbosity levels are for. As I mentioned in a previous message, I would explore the Jaws Help topics., which can be accessed from the help menu in the Jaws main window. Jaws has so much configuration, it would be impossible to remember it all! Even I consult the help topics from time to time.

Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced. The higher the level you select to run, the less Jaws will speak as you use the program, & this means all across the board.
