Hi, Lawrence. The first thing I'd suggest is that you confirm your MS Word window is maximized by pressing alt-space, then x. that may give you the information you want in that status bar.
If not, here are instructions I copied from a lister on another list. I've just confirmed that they work in Word 2016, which I now use. Joseph the Free Tech guy. To show number of lines, line number, or many other options in the status bar in Word: 1. Press F6 until Status bar is highlighted. Or, until you hear Jaws report, Status Toolbar. It should be the 2nd press of the F6 key. 2. Press Shift + F10 to show options. This keystroke must be used because a right mouse click or the application key will not. 3. Down arrow through the available options, and when you have found line count or something else of interest press the spacebar to check or uncheck the item. 4. when done making modifications simply press AltF4 or escape key. 5. Review your status line to insure the settings have been properly modified. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List <jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com> On Behalf Of Lawrence Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2018 12:53 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Using Microsoft Word 2016 and needing combonation keys Greeting Jaws Users In some of the older versions of Microsoft Word such as 2003 to acquire page number and line number one would press the comination keys (down page key and jaws key) I've recently acquired Microsoft 2016 and need this information.
