Hi Humberto, I am running the computer as administrator, & have got the problem solved. I wasn't getting the UAC dialog to press the Yes button, but after setting the slider to 0, pressing the Okay button, I then pressed, Alt + Y, & everything is good now. Thanks mooy moocho for your help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Humberto Rodriguez" <s...@hrfinancial.com> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2018 5:50 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] User Account Control Settings, Setting it to Zero
Hi Mike, Have you tried installing it as administrator? I am certainly no expert, but I run an internet radio station with many presenters all over the world and I write for each a compiled batch file with pre-configured SFTP so each can easily upload his or her respective program to the appropriate folder in the server and the resulting small .exe file encounters different fate in different Windows 10 computers, a mystery to me. Most have no problem storing it, saving it to their respective hard drives and they work as expected, but in some, Windows Defender will erase them and they claim not to be able to prevent it. I have had no such problems myself, it is hard to understand. Regards, Humberto -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List <jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com> On Behalf Of Mike B. Windows Defender also won't let me allow or restore it from quarantine, is 1 example of how I don't need big brother over seeing what I do. Thanks much for your input. Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers! I don't like UAC interfering when I want to run / install a program, at all! But, when I try to set it to, 0, then I okay it, I can't get out of the dialog! I've tried changing the setting with the Touch Cursor as well as using left mouse clicks, & still can't get that damn setting changed! LOL Can anyone give me some tips on how to change it to ZERO!? All help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks mooy moocho. Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers! Sennt from my iBarstool. Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement.
