I have the latest version of windows 10, 1803. When you first open your Documents folder, nothing should be selected. JAWS should say, not selected before it says the name of the first folder. You have several choices as to how you create a new folder. 1. Press control-shift-n and JAWS should say new folder. You're in the edit box to type the folder's name. Type it and press enter. 2. Press the application key and arrow to new, submenu. Press enter to open the menu. You should be on folder. Press enter and type the new name. Press enter.. 3. Press the alt key and tab once. It should say, properties. Tab again and it should say, new folder button. Press enter. If you want an even quicker way, from Documents, with nothing selected, press alt and the 2 on the top row of the keyboard. Together, not sequentially. Smile. This will put you in the edit box, ready to type the folder name. HTH. I am using the latest version of jaws with windows 10. I tried the control-shift-n keystrokes and didn't get anything. I am a long time computer user and this makes me feel so dumb and I have looked all over the place. Appreciate help.
