Even though I have participated on this particular list minimally as a contributor, I also vote for integrating the list with the existing JAWS for Windows Users Group on the Groups.io e-mail list/online forum. No purpose is served by having multiple JAWS user groups. It's one thing, for instance, to have specialist groups like the JAWS scripting group, but if one is looking to bring end users together the idea should be reaching the largest audience in a single place.
For anyone who's curious, send an e-mail message to the Help e-mail address listed below. You can also visit the group homepage, as Groups.io is a hybrid service that combines an e-mail interface and also has a web interface, at: https://jfw.groups.io/g/main The topics forum/archive can be viewed online by anyone at https://jfw.groups.io/g/main/topics - Post: m...@jfw.groups.io - Subscribe: main+subscr...@jfw.groups.io - Unsubscribe: main+unsubscr...@jfw.groups.io - Group Owner: main+ow...@jfw.groups.io - Help: main+h...@jfw.groups.io If you also happen to be a user of Windows 10 and a screen reader, consider joining the group for just that demographic: Group main page: https://win10.groups.io/g/win10 Topics Forum/Archive: https://win10.groups.io/g/win10/topics - Post: wi...@win10.groups.io - Subscribe: win10+subscr...@win10.groups.io - Unsubscribe: win10+unsubscr...@win10.groups.io - Group Owner: win10+ow...@win10.groups.io - Help: win10+h...@win10.groups.io Personally, I'd love to see the JAWS for Windows, NVDA, and Windows 10 for Screen Reader Users groups "fused." There is very little that goes on in any one of them that doesn't have partial or total cross-over interest for the other. In addition, Groups.io gives you an exquisite level of control over just what e-mail messages you will get from any group of which you're a member.
