Because it's a large download and they do not want you to run out of
battery power during the download so they say to make sure your laptop is on
manes power for the download

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Laptops, XP, and Service pack 3

Hello everyone,

I just installed service pack 3 on 3 home computers. I thought i would pass
this information to the list about laptops. I had no problem downloading the
SP3, but when the laptop went to install the service pack, i got a ding, and
a message that said, In order to install this service pack, you will have to
be running AC power. I'm not really sure why this is necessary. Maybe
someone can explain this to the group?

Have a great day Yawl.
