While we are on this subject I would like to add a further observation.  I 
have noticed for some years now that if the lower case letter "i" is used as 
the personal pronoun it quite severely affects the way Eloquence speaks a 
sentence.  It's as if Jaws can't work out how to express it.  I don't think 
it has the same effect on the SAPI voices.

I presume this is a habit developed through the use of texting which is 
another written language altogether.
