Hi. I downloaded and installed avast a couple of days ago and I'm struggling with it slightly.
It's doing a scan at the moment and I'm just wanting to make sure what I did is correct. I went into the start scan option from the system tray, selected the dummy check box and used the apps key to select what areas I wanted to scan. I selected local areas and then I used the apps key again to select what type of scan I wanted to perform which was a thorough scan and then I pressed start. Can anyone tell me what the dummy check box means and also if there's an audio tutorial on avast. I've looked on the Jaws users website where I downloaded it from and I can't find one. I'd just like some tips on what to do next as I know you can't set up schedule scan with the free version that I've installed. I'm probably not making much sense but I'd like some tips and help.
