Ok guys. I bought a Sound blaster live 24 bit external synth to use for jaws on my laptop. When installing the card the computer automatically changed to that card during the install. I then went back and changed it back to the real tech that's in the laptop. No matter which card I choose, jaws and the computer sounds go through that card.
We then went to the FS web site and got the info that tells you how to rout jaws to the other card. We did what it said and then unloaded and reloaded jaws. At this point jaws said that it couldn't load. We told it ok, renamed the .bak file we made back to jfw.ini and loaded jaws and everthing was good again. I'm not sure what we did wrong, but below is the synth info with the edited line in it. Can anybody see what we did wrong? [Synthesizers] Synth1Name=eloq Synth1LongName=Eloquence Software Synth1Driver=eloq Synth1Port=Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit External Synth2Name=NoSpeech Synth2LongName=No Speech Synth2Driver=nospeech Synth3Name=SAPI 5X Synth3LongName=SAPI 5 Synth3Driver=sapi5x Do we need to add that line also after no speach and sappy 5? -- Jimmy.
