Dear List I have been spoilt by Jaws and my victor Reader Stream. I now find that when I receive correspondence through the post in the form of audio CDs I find I want to accelerate the reading speed and get very impatient with the slowness of people reading. However I cannot find a media player that accelerates audio cds on a PC. I think Windows Media Player may have had a function but when I used it accelerated to a setting too fast for comprehension without intermediate comprehensible settings.
I know that you can do this with MP3 files in Mp3DirectCut but I am trying to avoid the hassle of converting these CDs to MP3. Does anybody know of a Jaws accessible media player that will do this job with audio cds? It would be great if something like WinAmp could do this without me realising.
