There will be some differences, but yu will find that many of the keyboard commands you've been using still work in Office 2007. I use Word intensively and Excell a little. I was able to switch from Office 2000 to Office 2007 without a great deal of trouble. In Word, for example, Alt O, F still brings you to the Font menu. Alt O, C still brings you to the columns menu In Excell the Alt plus Equals command gives you a quick way to total a column.
However Microsoft has changed things in 2007. Fortunately they are still quite concious of accessibility. I think this is one of the advantages of a near monopoly. They have the money and resources to care about accessibility, which companies which are cutting the margin close cannot do. I'm not a big Microsoft fan, but I do appreciate what they do for us. That being said, when you get Office 2007 you will not have the familiar pull down menus. The names have changed and the locations of some of the items you need will be hard to find. But only for awhile. Make sure you give yourself some time to look around when you aren't rushing to get a project finished. Alt P, for exampel, will bring you the the Page Layout tab. Then you will tab through the various options there. As you reach an option you want to use, JAWS will tell you the key combinations to get there faster. I suggest you compile a "cheat sheet" -- a summary of the commands you need. For awhile you will refer back to it, but you will soon reach a point that you know the commands from memory and you will soon become comfortable with 2007, just as you are with 2003.
