Hi! I don't know how much this will help, but I have a quad core processer,
and have never lost my jfw ILM key after jaws was installed. Something is
definitely going on with your system, but I couldn't even begin to guess
what. The only time I had a problem similar to what you're experiencing was
with my old single processor system when I tried to install a usb blue
tooth adapter. I just ended up deciding at the time that blue tooth wasn't
worth the effort. Good luck getting your problem fixed, and I hope that
you're having a great day!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Losing ILM's , and are dual processors a problem?

Hi all. Alas, here is the biggest dilemma I'm having on my new Dell laptop
with Vista and JAWS 9.0.2169. *big breath*

I did the JAWS installation and then entered the activation for the ILM.
At
first it was successful, but then a little later it reverted back to 40
minute mode. I then checked how many ILM's I had on the JAWS Web site and
my ILM's indeed did go from 3 to 2. So, initially it did work.

Here's the meat of my question. My new laptop has a dual processor, and
there was a mention on a Jaw's Web page about dual processors potentially
altering the locking code. Therefore, losing the ILM can occur. It also
said there was no current fix for this, and they recommend getting a
dongle. That's all the information there was about it that I could find.

Does anyone else have a dual processor and has had had this problem? In
fact, do you have a dual processor and don't have this problem? My main
goal at this point is to get out of 40 minute mode permanently. Thanks for
your help, and thanks for your patients with all my many questions.
