I guess the way you worded you having 2 different versions led me to think they both were installed. So your using AVG 7.5 the paid version? If so, I too use this and do not experience the problem you are having. I have never opened an attachment in your method.. I soemtimes open it within my email client by pressing insert A, then enter on it and jaws asks if I want to open it, and I press alt O
