Linda, I'm well aware it's a beta. Its just that something that used to work
in jaws 9 is now broken in jaws ten. What I'm talking about is that in jaws
nine, you could cursor through the list of folders in the folders pane, or
the go to folder list, and it would tell you how many unread messages there
were in the folder. 
By the way, in order to do what you suggested much more easily, hit
insert+page down. You don't need to change cursors or anything.

Remember, this is a jaws beta.  I route jaws to pc, press control end, then
I press my down arrow to hear the number of messages.  I am not sure how you
do it but if that's not the way you did it, maybe you can try it.  Also,
when in outlook 2003, you can check the verbosity options.  Perhaps they
will fix that issue so hang in there.

Earlier this year, I used outlook 2003 with jaws 9 and the same thing
happened. I have now gonne back to outlook express.
