I would go ahead and install SP3. However, due to personal experience, I strongly recommend you make sure you complete the download and install before shutting down. If the install fails due to an interruption, it could cause major problems. In my case as well as for some others, a failed install of SP3 caused my computer to no longer be able to connect to the Internet. It was not a fun problem to try to figure out and fix (LOL, as if there is such a thing as a fun computer problem).
