You're probably viewing a scanned image of a PDF document, meaning the text
has been scanned in as an image. You'll therefore need an OCR programme like
Openbook or Kurzweil 1000 in order to both recognize and read the recognized
text.

Good afternoon everyone:
I was wondering if someone can help me with a small problem i am having

adobe acrobat using it with jaws. Every time i open up a abobe acrobat
pdf
file it is telling me there is an empty doccument. I am using jaws
version
9 with adobe acrobat reader 9. Is there any settings i need to use to get
jaws to work properly with acrobat 9
