have you lost sound? (The beeps might be coming through your PC speaker,
which is different from your sound card.) Do you have a multimedia
keyboard - that is, a keyboard with extra keys in a panel and then along a
row, these above the row of function keys. (You might have touched the
on/off key by accident.) If such is the case, you merely need to press that
key again and the sound will come on. You may probably hear a click.
However, if that is not it then there are other ideas of which you have
already seen some. The more information we have (with which we can
diagnose), the better.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] more questions

Hi, sometimes I feel that I will never get to the point where I know enough
what to do. So, once again, have a question. Thank you to those who have
responded to my questions. When I go to turn on the computer, having some
kind of problem. Windows chime does not come up and no jaws saying jaws
ready either. Just get two loud beeps, or nothing at all. I don't dare turn
this off now that I somehow have it working. Not sure what is wrong what
those beeps mean? Thanks.
