Hi Kate,
Do a Insert V in IE and hit H for headings and frames. There are three
settings for this option. The one you want is the default. Sometimes these
settings change by themselves. You can make this setting permanent within
configuration manager.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] headings in internet explorer
I am using jaws nine, a windows XP operating system and internet explorer
7. I used to be able to press the #2 on the number row to find my spot on
a page where there was relevant text at heading level two. Now, though I
have to use the #1 to go through a bunch of heading level ones before
it'll even acknowledge that the heading level two is even there on the
page. This just started happening after I got back home from thanksgiving
vacation. The computer was off the whole time I was gone and nobody else
was around so no settings were voluntarily changed. I just don't
understand why I have this problem. I've noticed its a universal issue on
every webpage I visit so its not just a matter of someone changing their
website ore something.
Anyone know if there are settings I can check in order to fix this
problem?
Thanks,
Kate
