[JAWS-Users] I need help with avast please?

Could someone please tell me how I am going to know whether my avast is 
updating? I'm not sure if jaws 10 is different  as opposed to jaws nine with 
avast, I've installed avast around six hours ago, but have had no indication 
that it is been scanning or anything.
Pardon if my explination is a little double dutch, but I'm sure you'll know 
what I mean since you guys are jaws wizzes.Kimber.
