Elaine, I fiddled with the free edition by going to the system tray, finding it there and clicking on the right mouse button on the keypad. That opens the context menu in which you can go through menus and do what you wish. I don't know what else the pro editioin might do but I know the program is running. The entry in the system tray tells me that it has scanned on the date. marilyn
